We had a really fun weekend! Konnor dominated the soccer field on Saturday at his game. He improved so much from the first game they played. The first game all the kids hogged the ball and were all over the place. Saturday they all followed what Coach Hains said, they didn't all pile up in the same spot, and although some would say Konnor hogged the ball, he totally didn't, he's just the fastest kid out there! He made sure to listen to the coach on the field and he was very persistent when it came to kicking goals in. If one didn't get past the goalie, he'd go right back after it again. He had much better control of the ball and he overall had a blast on the field and it was so much fun to watch him. I'm not bragging, just a "proud Mommy" but parents were baffled at his speed and talent on the field. My sister Stephanie had an older couple, I believe from the opposing team, approach her after the game just to tell her how "talented her kid was!" She was proud to claim ownership at that time :)
Way to go, Konnor! We are soooo excited for many years ahead of watching you and your love for sports play out!
On to Hunter - he was sooo incredibly excited for his birthday party with his friends. He was a little overwhelmed at first but once they got going, he had a blast playing in the sand, eating, slamming down a pinata full of candy, and breaking into that knock-out football cake he got! It was a fun birthday for all of us this year to "spoil" Hunter b/c I feel like he sometimes gets lost in the crowd with his "do-to-do" personality and being the middle child and all. Happy 4th Birthday, yet again my little Hunter Bean! I love you and want to eat you up!
Quinn goes with the flow but certainly never gets forgotten. He is talking so much now it's insane. Although his vocabulary includes "naughty" words such as "toopid" and "dammit" - he is certainly able to get his point across and is speaking sentences. He and Hunter both had their 4 and 2 year well-checks this past week. If I wasn't so lazy right now I'd go check their heights and weights but I do know that they grew a good amount since last year and they checked out with a clean bill of health! As always :) Konnor and Hunter also both had dentist appointments last week too. Hunter somehow managed to walk away cavity-less....but Konnor wasn't so lucky this time. 2 cavities :( He was afraid to eat birthday cake at Hunter's party but his Mom who thinks the dental business is a big "hoax" anyway tried hard to convince him to dig in. He didn't - but I'm sure he'll soon forget and be back in the sugar eating business!
We only have like 4 weeks of school until summer! I can't wait. I selfishly love to have the kids home at all times. I miss that time with Konnor and love for them to run wild and be kids. Even if in fact that means dealing with more fights and tempers!!
