As if one isn't enough

2 in, 1 to go!

I never did get a clear shot of Quinn with all 3 in his mouth but his latest thing is to shove all 3 of his pacifiers in his mouth at the same time, he then runs around to Konnor and Hunter and tries to make some sort of "roaring" noise! It's actually quite hilarious. As if getting rid of the thing isn't hard enough for us in the first place, now he's attaching himself to 3! Ha! I actually got the first picture posted here, Hunter believe it or not took the 2nd one. I think he did better :)

Another uneventful day today! We finished putting up Christmas lights outside - which involved another trip to the local hardware shop to find the appropriate hardware to do so! The men in there know me by name! I'm enjoying learning to do it all on my own. (well, maybe not so much, but someone has to do it!). My neighbor, being a super nice schmoozer type of guy - always asks if he can be of any help - however, after me telling him "I can do it myself!" 18 times, I think he finally realized that "yes, this woman can do it by herself."
We also finally found a fix for Hunter's training wheels on his bike - every time he turned, one of them would slide back and he'd fall - as you can imagine, each fall was more devastating then the previous for Hunter b/c it was of course "Mom's fault!" "Why would you do that to me" came out of his mouth at one point! You know, the bike that glides about a foot off the ground? Quite horrific to whipe out at Hunter's fast pace! I, for 22 cents, found a fix for the problem - but he's having a really hard time trusting me this time. Maybe it's time to just rid of the stupid things and make him ride on his own? We'll see.

Konnor had a great day at school. He learned "that some kids don't have Christmas lights/trees to put up and that some kids don't get presents." Apparently whatever his teacher told him made far more sense than what I've been trying to get through his head. Thanks, Mrs.Strauss! The more I think about it, she may have been teaching him that there are different religions? In any case, he understood the right concept. In the end he told me he learned that he's "pretty lucky." You're right buddy. You are pretty lucky. So is your Mommy.

***I also forgot to mention last night that Kaden Boop, one of Stephanie's good friend's twin sons, underwent his 4th major heart surgery today at the age of 2. He and his twin brother Kaleb were born with the same heart defect - their left ventricle was too small. Kaden for months before he was born, was not expected to live at all. I believe he suffered a heart attack in the womb even. Well - they survived birth - and we happily celebrated their 2nd birthdays with them back in September. They both had what they thought would be the last of 3 major heart surgeries shortly after their birthday. Kaleb recovered well, but Kaden's showed some sort of irregular heartbeat last week. Their doctor performed the surgery today, which involved putting a pacemaker in and doing a bypass - and Kaden came out on top and is so far doing very well! Keep their family in your prayers - what a LONG two years this has been for them. Their faith in God is incredible - and those two boys truly are little miracles.
